Zbigniew Liana
A lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of Nature at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow. From 1987 to 1988, he was a visiting professor at the College of Liberal Arts, Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit (USA). He is the author of works in the field of the philosophy of science, both from historical and systematic perspectives, and has written on a wide range of topics, including the relationship between science and faith, particularly during the medieval and Renaissance periods up to the pre-Enlightenment era. He has also examined the views of selected philosophers of science, such as K. Kłósak, M. Polanyi, K. Popper, and J. Życiński. He is a member of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, the Philosophy of Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences (PAU), the "Fides et Ratio" Committee of PAU, a member of editorial boards and scientific councils of publishing series, and a reviewer of both national and international scientific publications (ESSSAT association).
